MEET MARY KATE
21 year old Singer/Songwriter Mary Kate Farmer has been packing venues and wowing audiences throughout the South with her skilled writing and energetic live shows.
Born in Olathe Kansas Mary Kate moved to San Antonio Texas at the age of four. Music has been a large part of her life even since she could talk.
Family is a HUGE part of Mary Kate's life. She is the youngest of 4 kids, David Isaac, Kristin, and Zach. She credits her parents David James Farmer and Kathy Farmer for the person she is today and is so thankful for all of their support.
"They are my biggest fans, the best parents and more importantly my best friends. I can go to them with anything and everything. I couldn't have asked for two better role models in my life" Mary Kate loves spending time with her family. Whether its holiday's, special occasions, or their regular Sunday dinners at her parents house, She will always jump at the chance to be with her siblings. Her siblings are also some of her biggest supporters. "They have and continue to support me and everything I do and I can't thank them enough for that.
Mary Kate continues to write and perform all her own original music. Mary Kate and her band have played at many venues, fairs and festivals across the South. One of her favorite shows is when she Headlined her own show at Wild Bills in Duluth, Georgia. She has opened up for large name acts such as
CHASE RICE on his "Everybody We Know Does" Tour
and HUNTER HAYES on his "21" Tour.
She was also given the honor of singing the national anthem at the NHRA Southern Nationals presented on ESPN, in front of more than 20,000 people. With a dedicated fan base ALL across the south her venues she plays are packed and meet and greets last any where from 1-3 hours at a time! "I am always sure to go out of my way to make my fans know they are a priority to me because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be able to do what I love" says Mary Kate humbly.
As a result of her motivated mind set and determination, she has developed a fast growing web presence as well as a well-founded international fan base; the future is undoubtedly bright for Mary Kate Farmer.
Between performing in talent shows, and putting on shows for her family and friends every chance she could, Mary Kate immediately fell in love with performing and being on stage. At the age of 14, her parents bought her an acoustic guitar unknowingly launching her into a burgeoning music career. Later, she began to teach herself how to play guitar and started writing her own original music which has became her life ever since. While being raised in San Antonio, Texas till the age of 16 she performed at every open mic, bar, or coffee house that she could play at! She quickly gained a large Texas fan base that has continued her journey with her in Atlanta Georgia which she now calls home.
